The audience was convinced that Benedykt Chazon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walery Malewicki was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 55 minutes into the game, Roch Oborski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fjorentina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedykt Niemojewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
