The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dominik Michnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mieszko Polakowski in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Edgar Gniech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachary Knopek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Komonino's Zachary Knopek got control of the ball when Adam Maruda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Gongola kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Komonino's Mieszko Polakowski got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Komonino's Jaroslaw Kluska sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dominik Michnik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jaroslaw Kluska had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cracovia's Dominik Michnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaroslaw Kluska in the 25th minute of play. Zachary Knopek acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Waldemar Karwowski. Mieszko Polakowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Michnik having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaroslaw Kluska stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adam Maruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachary Knopek having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Edgar Gniech got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaroslaw Kluska sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominik Michnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaroslaw Kluska, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Konstanty Michalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mieszko Polakowski struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Dominik Michnik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Komonino. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Komonino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
