With a little luck, KS Tadeusz's Stanislaw Karp got control of the ball when Teofil Dobilas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stanislaw Karp was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fryderyk Scigan. In the 23rd minute, Teofil Dobilas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zygmunt Starogardzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witomir Ochylski having to interfere. Stanislaw Karp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Rydzyk in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Teofil Dobilas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanislaw Karp was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Witomir Ochylski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbyszek Frodyma's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Przemyslaw Hetman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in KS Tadeusz's zone, Roman Rydzyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislaw Karp came out of the goal and Roman Rydzyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roman Rydzyk made a kick off. Witomir Ochylski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Starogardzki in the 51st minute of play. The corner led KS Tadeusz's Boleslaw Wielowiejski to fire away a dangerous shot which Witomir Ochylski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Roman Rydzyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Roman Rydzyk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanislaw Karp was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Teofil Dobilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Rydzyk in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Przemyslaw Hetman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Witomir Ochylski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play.
