Thanks to Raków Częstochowa's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Konrad Burdalski tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. César Sánchez seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. In the 32nd minute Brzeszcze SSA were awarded a corner. Iwan Spychalski went to the cornerflag to take it. Brzeszcze SSA's Ryszard Fudalej played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Distiratsu in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Raków Częstochowa's zone, Cafu Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Sánchez came out of the goal and Cafu Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ryszard Fudalej made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Distiratsu in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Anselmo Distiratsu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Raków Częstochowa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Anselmo Distiratsu made the kick off in the second half. Cafu Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. César Sánchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryszard Fudalej was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Anselmo Distiratsu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anselmo Distiratsu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Bogdan Kostka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Fudalej having to interfere. The supporters of Raków Częstochowa booed when Brzeszcze SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guo Guo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Distiratsu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Ryszard Fudalej when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ryszard Fudalej made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Distiratsu in the 83rd minute of play. The Raków Częstochowa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Raków Częstochowa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
