Widzew Łódź's Jakub Malik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaroslaw Burufski in the 17th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Zbyszko Klocko made a precise shot to the right of Jakub Malik. Widzew Łódź's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 28th minute of the match Herbert Konopka shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Kaznocha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Zbyszko Klocko managed to get in a good position for a shot. F. C. Ostrów United's supporters rose to their feet, but Zbyszko Klocko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakub Malik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The long shot by Herbert Konopka in the 41st minute really tested Stefan Kaznocha's skills. The Widzew Łódź players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F. C. Ostrów United were winning 0-1.

Zbyszko Klocko's late challenge caught a Widzew Łódź's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zbyszko Klocko helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to F. C. Ostrów United getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ostrów United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Widzew Łódź fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F. C. Ostrów United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
