The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Gozdowski got free with Tadeusz Jaszcz in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeusz Jaszcz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cyprian Blicharz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. When Lech Krzynowek came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Zagłębie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lech Krzynowek couldn't finish the play. Tadeusz Jaszcz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyprian Blicharz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeusz Jaszcz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Alfred Gozdowski sent off a good shot on target. Alfred Gozdowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeusz Jaszcz having to interfere. If Zdzislaw Czapski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Vilanos FC's Teobald Witwicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lech Krzynowek in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cyprian Blicharz was the one to do the kick off. Jan Czeberowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zagłębie's Tadeusz Jaszcz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Blicharz in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Los Vilanos FC's zone, Lech Krzynowek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobald Witwicki came out of the goal and Lech Krzynowek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Zagłębie's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Czeberowski came free, but Tadeusz Jaszcz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Zagłębie's Tytus Kochniarczyk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teobald Witwicki. That made the score 1-2 after 63 minutes of play. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Los Vilanos FC. Ziemowit Budrewicz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tadeusz Jaszcz. 2-2. After some careless play in the Los Vilanos FC defense, Lech Krzynowek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobald Witwicki. The Los Vilanos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobald Witwicki should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Gozdowski in the 78th minute of play forced Zagłębie's goalkeeper Tadeusz Jaszcz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
