Arkadiusz Zatorski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tytus Kochniarczyk in the 3rd minute of the match. Ryszard Lichucki kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Lech Krzynowek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arkadiusz Zatorski having to interfere. If Tytus Kochniarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tytus Wierzbicki in the 13th minute of play forced Zagłębie's goalkeeper Tadeusz Jaszcz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tytus Kochniarczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Zagłębie booed when Mersine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Koprowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Tytus Wierzbicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Jaszcz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Zagłębie defense, Izydor Marajda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeusz Jaszcz. The Zagłębie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeusz Jaszcz should have stopped the shot. Tadeusz Jaszcz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Izydor Marajda in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Radowit Zurawski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zagłębie's supporters rose to their feet, but Radowit Zurawski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arkadiusz Zatorski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 38 minutes, Radowit Zurawski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zagłębie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radowit Zurawski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Radowit Zurawski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arkadiusz Zatorski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, Mersine's Izydor Marajda made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tadeusz Jaszcz was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tytus Kochniarczyk made the kick off in the second half. Tadeusz Jaszcz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izydor Marajda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Mersine's zone, Tytus Kochniarczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arkadiusz Zatorski came out of the goal and Tytus Kochniarczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Izydor Marajda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Jaszcz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lech Krzynowek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arkadiusz Zatorski having to interfere. Mariusz Domamir kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Tytus Wierzbicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Jaszcz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeusz Jaszcz came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Mersine's Napoleon Hatman. But to his dismay, Napoleon Hatman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 73 minutes into the match, Zagłębie's Radowit Zurawski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arkadiusz Zatorski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Mersine's goal looked a bit too open when Mateusz Furtok came free, but Arkadiusz Zatorski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadeusz Jaszcz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izydor Marajda, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The excitement rose when Zagłębie's Radowit Zurawski after 85 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Mersine's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 4-1. 89 minutes into the match, Mersine's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Wlodyga came free, but Arkadiusz Zatorski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lech Krzynowek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tytus Kochniarczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zagłębie's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Mersine had won, even though Zagłębie had held more of the ball.
