A collision led to Wolverhampton Wanderers getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Stasio Rasialdo hit a great ball. Gwidon Szostak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislaw Kapera in the 12th minute of play. When Napoleon Radzyminski fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Gwidon Szostak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswald Reutter's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Bentkowski in the 23rd minute of play forced Wolverhampton Wanderers's goalkeeper Radowit Wojtowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gwidon Szostak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gwidon Szostak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislaw Kapera in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswald Reutter was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Julian Arendarski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radowit Wojtowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 played minutes Wolverhampton Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Kapera. In the 63rd minute, Maciej Bentkowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kochlew fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Teobald Chmelyk's late challenge caught a Wolverhampton Wanderers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The long shot by Pankracy Maziarz in the 67th minute really tested Gwidon Szostak's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gwidon Szostak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald Reutter in the 71st minute of the match. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wolverhampton Wanderers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernard Labus was slow to take the kick. During this time Kochlew's players had a chance to rest. Stasio Rasialdo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Kochlew made a substitution. Lucjan Barycz replaced Maciej Bentkowski. In the 83rd match minute, Wolverhampton Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislaw Kapera to maneuver through the defense. If Florian Koperski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanislaw Kapera got free with Gwidon Szostak in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucjan Barycz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ryszard Jarosiewicz's late challenge caught a Kochlew's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryszard Jarosiewicz helped the player get up and apologised. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wolverhampton Wanderers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
