In the 22nd minute, Oswald Reutter made a precise shot to the right of Cezary Filipowski. Legia Warszawa Boy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Stanislaw Kapera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolverhampton Wanderers's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislaw Kapera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cezary Filipowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stanislaw Kapera in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cezary Filipowski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The nice shot from Stanislaw Kapera in the 30thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Cezary Filipowski had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Cezary Filipowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryszard Jarosiewicz went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When Wolverhampton Wanderers's Oswald Reutter in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The score was now 6-0. Cezary Filipowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald Reutter in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Legia Warszawa Boy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenon Karanowski to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucjan Furgal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cezary Filipowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zbigniew Czeszejko went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Wolverhampton Wanderers's attentive Kajetan Fleischer managed to snatch the ball when Radowit Komornicki made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa Boy's goal looked a bit too open when Oswald Reutter came free, but Cezary Filipowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislaw Kapera in the 64th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa Boy's goalkeeper Cezary Filipowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cezary Filipowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Rasialdo in the 65th minute of the match. Radomir Buczko hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Oswald Reutter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezary Filipowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Oswald Reutter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cezary Filipowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olaf Klewinski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radowit Wojtowicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Stanislaw Kapera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. Wolverhampton Wanderers walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
