Boguslaw Kordalewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olaf Malik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wieslaw Budzynski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. If Boguslaw Kordalewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, PIAST Czekanów's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Kordalewski came free, but Wieslaw Budzynski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wicherek Tomkowa's Boguslaw Kordalewski got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 39 minutes, Olaf Malik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wicherek Tomkowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olaf Malik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olaf Malik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Ksawery Majerowicz fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wicherek Tomkowa's protests and gave Ksawery Majerowicz a yellow card for diving instead. Olaf Malik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute.
