After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Wincenty Drugi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suski's supporters rose to their feet, but Wincenty Drugi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milosz Malewicki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adam Sikola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milosz Malewicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 39 played minutes Suski got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Karanewski. Olgierd Zacharek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty Hayles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Radomil Ratulowski with Mauricio Mancio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Sikola was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Czeslaw Mazurkiewicz put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Olgierd Zacharek. 56 minutes into the match, Suski's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Mancio came free, but Olgierd Zacharek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Czeslaw Mazurkiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miroslaw Mentis's late challenge caught a Suski's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miroslaw Mentis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Górnik Zabrze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Mentis to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Górnik Zabrze had played much better football throughout.
