Bartlomiej Maciejewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucjan Hyska. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 9th minute Bartlomiej Maciejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Hyska saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucjan Hyska came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Gronau's Ulryk Szel. But to his dismay, Ulryk Szel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16th match minute, Stachów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Nienajadlo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Bartlomiej Maciejewski put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lucjan Hyska. Walery Tomaszewski struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Napoleon Bazan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stachów. 36 minutes into the game, Jurand Dombrowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stachów's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gronau the free kick. After 36 played minutes Stachów got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Dombrowski. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walery Tomaszewski in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Napoleon Bazan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute Walery Tomaszewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Bazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucjan Hyska took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobald Furlit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gronau's Napoleon Bazan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Gronau from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobald Furlit made a kick off. Zenon Harendarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Napoleon Bazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Adam Czajka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gronau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stachów the free kick. In the 53rd minute, one of Gronau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gronau. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Stachów. Wawrzyniec Brytan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Napoleon Bazan. 1-2. In the 60th minute Teobald Furlit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Hyska saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Stachów booed when Gronau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeusz Kaczucha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zenon Harendarski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Napoleon Bazan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Bartlomiej Maciejewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Hyska having to interfere. Napoleon Bazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walery Tomaszewski in the 81st minute of play. If Zenon Harendarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Walery Tomaszewski notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Gronau's Napoleon Bazan. Napoleon Bazan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the match, Gronau's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Harendarski came free, but Napoleon Bazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Teobald Furlit dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lucjan Hyska, 2-3. Bartlomiej Maciejewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
