When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, David Ahlroht put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wasyl Raszek. Wasyl Raszek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Ahlroht's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Jens-Ove Rosendahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wasyl Raszek having to interfere. Wincent Okopny was a little too slow when Hieronim Tusk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-1. Wasyl Raszek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Rosendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wlodzimierz Bulkiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Wincent Okopny made a huge save. Wincent Okopny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hieronim Tusk, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With a little luck, WKS Piast Wrocław's Wincent Okopny got control of the ball when Artur Gongolewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wasyl Raszek acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tadeusz Marek. WKS Piast Wrocław's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
