With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iwo Polakowski in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Korneliusz Pierz saved FC BASEL from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Ochabski in the 10th minute of play forced FC BASEL's goalkeeper Korneliusz Pierz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Hydrozagadka's Edward Ochabski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Korneliusz Pierz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hydrozagadka's Lucjan Hryc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Hydrozagadka from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Polakowski in the 23rd minute of play forced FC BASEL's goalkeeper Korneliusz Pierz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Hryc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliusz Szostak, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, FC BASEL's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Polakowski came free, but Korneliusz Pierz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Iwo Polakowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Korneliusz Pierz was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When Aureliusz Szostak fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC BASEL's protests and gave Aureliusz Szostak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Aureliusz Szostak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobiasz Dres kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. FC BASEL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Iwo Polakowski scored to the left of an out of position Korneliusz Pierz, making the score, 0-1. Lucjan Hryc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliusz Szostak in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, Hydrozagadka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Burowski to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 79 minutes, Zygmunt Karanewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC BASEL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zygmunt Karanewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Hydrozagadka's Boleslaw Wieloch got a free kick in the 80th minute. Dariusz Tuliszewski hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes, FC BASEL's Youri Ubels shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucjan Hryc came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC BASEL reached it. 85 minutes into the match, FC BASEL's goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Wieloch came free, but Korneliusz Pierz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Korneliusz Pierz was a little too slow when Iwo Polakowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-2. If Aureliusz Szostak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hydrozagadka's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
