Edmund Rzegotka struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Dawid Werra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KKS Lech Poznań. After 12 played minutes Szumlin got a freekick which was hit by Miromir Gacek. When Szumlin's Zdzislaw Laba in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KKS Lech Poznań's goalie prevented a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Zdzislaw Laba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barnaba Jandryca. KKS Lech Poznań's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zdzislaw Laba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Wlodzimierz Mudry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Dawid Werra made a huge save. Barnaba Jandryca came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Szumlin's Zdzislaw Laba. But to his dismay, Zdzislaw Laba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leon Czajkowski's late challenge caught a Szumlin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Czajkowski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KKS Lech Poznań getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Leon Czajkowski hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenon Galus in the 42nd minute of play forced KKS Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Barnaba Jandryca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zula Marajda's late challenge caught a Szumlin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zula Marajda helped the player get up and apologised. Ziemowit Fabiszak missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 46 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Barnaba Jandryca right hand side. After the first half Szumlin were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barnaba Jandryca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szumlin's goalkeeper Dawid Werra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KKS Lech Poznań's Edmund Rzegotka got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of KKS Lech Poznań booed when Szumlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tymoteusz Wodaszak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dawid Werra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wlodzimierz Mudry in the 81st minute of the match. Zdzislaw Laba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Szumlin's zone, Wlodzimierz Mudry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dawid Werra came out of the goal and Wlodzimierz Mudry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barnaba Jandryca was a little too slow when Zdzislaw Laba got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-3. The Szumlin players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
