Cyryl Bartoszek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boruc Lukasik in the 16th minute of play. Piemonte Calcio's Kılıç Türkeş was substituted for Leonard Molski. Piemonte Calcio were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Polonia LW's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jurand Leper took the corner. Polonia LW's Lucjan Wolniewicz got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Polonia LW's zone, Edmund Smolak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafal Wisniewski came out of the goal and Edmund Smolak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Polonia LW's goal looked a bit too open when Kılıç Türkeş came free, but Rafal Wisniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piemonte Calcio's goalkeeper Cyryl Bartoszek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Polonia LW booed when Piemonte Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurand Leper didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piemonte Calcio's Cyryl Bartoszek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Piemonte Calcio from getting a goal against them.
