Spectators: 7464 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marian Tomaka started the match with the kick off. Jerzy Rutecki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerzy Marchewka having to make a save. In the 9th match minute, Republika Grudziądz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariusz Charlap to maneuver through the defense. Jerzy Rutecki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerzy Marchewka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziemowit Bilicki in the 19th minute of the match. Dobojewo's Lech Zahemski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Dobojewo from getting a goal against them. In the 34th match minute, Dobojewo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Gurgul to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Dobojewo's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Tomaka came free, but Lech Zahemski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Republika Grudziądz's goalkeeper Jerzy Marchewka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lech Zahemski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Tomaka in the 46th minute of play. Fryderyk Gierasik might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerzy Marchewka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fryderyk Gierasik ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dobojewo's Ziemowit Bilicki got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dobojewo's Lech Zahemski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Lenertej in the 55th minute of play. Lech Zahemski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Lenertej, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Emil Gurgul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lech Zahemski came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Republika Grudziądz's Lucjan Lenertej. But to his dismay, Lucjan Lenertej quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some careless play in the Dobojewo defense, Bogdan Markowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lech Zahemski. The Dobojewo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lech Zahemski should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute, Marian Tomaka made a precise shot to the right of Lech Zahemski. Dobojewo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 91 minutes into the game, Republika Grudziądz's Lucjan Lenertej nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lech Zahemski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Lech Zahemski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Markowski in the 95th minute of play. If Jerzy Rutecki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
