The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in RedDevils's zone, Tadeusz Jaworski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witold Rydz came out of the goal and Tadeusz Jaworski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugeniusz Modrzewski's late challenge caught a Rotterdam Tychy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugeniusz Modrzewski helped the player get up and apologised. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Antoni Kaminski made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Sylwester Borkowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rotterdam Tychy and the RedDevils players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Sylwester Borkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Hatman in the 69th minute of play forced Rotterdam Tychy's goalkeeper Iwo Roman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iwo Roman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdzislaw Juchno, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Aleksander Grabowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored RedDevils's protests and gave Zdzislaw Juchno a yellow card for diving instead. Zdzislaw Juchno kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of RedDevils booed when Rotterdam Tychy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylwester Borkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, RedDevils's Wawrzyniec Siwek got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 97th minute, Sylwester Borkowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
