Patryk Marchefka charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patryk Marchefka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Obrona got a freekick which was hit by Patryk Marchefka. Andrzej Witkowski, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 8th minute, Rafal Jarek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Feliks Niziolek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Obrona's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Pawlik came free, but Feliks Niziolek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliks Niziolek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafal Jarek in the 13th minute of the match. Rafal Jarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mks Gdynia booed when Obrona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piotr Bejgier didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Rafal Jarek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliks Niziolek was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Wincent Rasialdos short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Patryk Wolicki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 23 minutes, Rafal Jarek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mks Gdynia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafal Jarek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patryk Wolicki made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Wincent Rasialdo sent off a good shot on target. Bartosz Ochabski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafal Jarek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. The supporters of Obrona booed when Mks Gdynia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Jurgiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Wincent Rasialdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obrona's supporters rose to their feet, but Wincent Rasialdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patryk Wolicki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Obrona's Bartosz Ochabski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Obrona's zone, Rafal Jarek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliks Niziolek came out of the goal and Rafal Jarek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute of the match Mks Gdynia got a corner. Obrona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrzej Witkowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mks Gdynia's Tytus Brodzki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Feliks Niziolek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Obrona's Wincent Rasialdo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wincent Rasialdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Patryk Wolicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Obrona's Feliks Niziolek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wieslaw Jurgiel in the 67th minute of play. Rafal Jarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliks Niziolek having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Wieslaw Jurgiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Obrona getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Wladyslaw Miecznikowski hit a great ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Wincent Rasialdo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obrona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincent Rasialdo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mks Gdynia's Tytus Brodzki got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincent Rasialdo in the 93rd minute of play forced Mks Gdynia's goalkeeper Patryk Wolicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mks Gdynia's goalkeeper Patryk Wolicki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bartosz Ochabski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Patryk Wolicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Mks Gdynia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mks Gdynia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
