Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) GKS Katowice's Lukasz Zecman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lukasz Zecman in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zachariasz Domin saved Sardynki from getting behind. Jurand Frodyma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugeniusz Rojewski in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute Eugeniusz Rojewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurand Frodyma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izydor Bochinski in the 31st minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Jurand Frodyma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurand Frodyma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izydor Bochinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes Sardynki got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Rojewski. After 41 played minutes Sardynki got a freekick which was hit by Maciej Bentkowski. When Kaj Kristiansson came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the GKS Katowice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaj Kristiansson couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Eugeniusz Rojewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Kaj Kristiansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Izydor Bochinski's late challenge caught a GKS Katowice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Izydor Bochinski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Izydor Bochinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jurand Frodyma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugeniusz Rojewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Jurand Frodyma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Izydor Bochinski in the 66th minute. Zachariasz Domin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Kristiansson in the 80th minute of play. Zachariasz Domin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukasz Zecman in the 81st minute of the match. Lukasz Zecman scored 2-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zachariasz Domin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute of the match GKS Katowice got a corner. Sardynki's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marek Kochanowicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 93rd minute, Kaj Kristiansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS Katowice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee ended the match the GKS Katowice players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
