The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 3 minutes on the clock, Kazimierz Parajewski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After recieving a nice pass, Academia Bydgoszcz's Eneto Mayol tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Filip Czaplicki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Bydgoszcz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Eneto Mayol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Daniel Wieczorek made a huge save. In the 11th play minute Eneto Mayol came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Daniel Wieczorek. 2-0. In the 14th minute Igor Kalak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Wieczorek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Edward Jarek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Bydgoszcz and the Skomielna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Academia Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Jarek to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Academia Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Kuszczak came free, but Emil Paraszczuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Skomielna's Daniel Wieczorek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Kalak in the 39th minute of play. Emil Paraszczuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiusz Kuszczak in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eneto Mayol made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Filip Czaplicki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Wieczorek was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After 59 minutes of play, Academia Bydgoszcz's Igor Kalak made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Wieczorek was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Academia Bydgoszcz's Emil Paraszczuk got control of the ball when Arkadiusz Kuszczak tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Academia Bydgoszcz's Eneto Mayol made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Wieczorek was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Kalak in the 80th minute of play forced Skomielna's goalkeeper Daniel Wieczorek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skomielna's Tymoteusz Bialakowski got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 minutes, Kajetan Dzerwucki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skomielna and the Academia Bydgoszcz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes, Academia Bydgoszcz's Eneto Mayol shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daniel Wieczorek came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Academia Bydgoszcz reached it. If Patryk Bronicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia Bydgoszcz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
