With an all-out effort, Sośnica Gliwice's Zygmunt Rzeszutko threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bogdan Bronkala, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Sośnica Gliwice getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Bogdan Bronkala hit a great ball. After 13 minutes of play, FC Gutkowo's Klement Polek made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ignacy Solarek was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Sośnica Gliwice defense, Stasio Budzyn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacy Solarek. The Sośnica Gliwice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacy Solarek should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the game, Roman Plech was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sośnica Gliwice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gutkowo the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sośnica Gliwice fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! A collision led to FC Gutkowo getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Konrad Joks hit a great ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Klement Polek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sośnica Gliwice's Ignacy Solarek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Klement Polek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ignacy Solarek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klement Polek's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Sośnica Gliwice's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Polek came free, but Ignacy Solarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Korneliusz Marajda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Konrad Joks managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Gutkowo's supporters rose to their feet, but Konrad Joks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacy Solarek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bogdan Bronkala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zygmunt Rzeszutko having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bogdan Bronkala made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sośnica Gliwice booed when FC Gutkowo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klement Polek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogdan Bronkala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Zygmunt Rzeszutko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klement Polek hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Tytus Rybak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Leon Galaska hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waclaw Piglowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ignacy Solarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacy Solarek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klement Polek's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klement Polek in the 84th minute of play forced Sośnica Gliwice's goalkeeper Ignacy Solarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When FC Gutkowo's Klement Polek in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sośnica Gliwice's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klement Polek in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacy Solarek saved Sośnica Gliwice from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Waclaw Piglowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klement Polek got free with Ignacy Solarek in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Zachariasz Snaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Gutkowo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Gutkowo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
