Sándor Torghelle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half GKS Katowice were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miromir Kensicki to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Katowice's zone, Sándor Torghelle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstanty Panasewicz came out of the goal and Sándor Torghelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Sándor Torghelle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OPP Wrocław fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. With an all-out effort, GKS Katowice's Radomir Rzentkowski threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miromir Kensicki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to OPP Wrocław getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. After some careless play in the GKS Katowice defense, Sylwester Oliszewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Konstanty Panasewicz. The GKS Katowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Konstanty Panasewicz should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, 毛峰剑 managed to get in a good position for a shot. OPP Wrocław's supporters rose to their feet, but 毛峰剑 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konstanty Panasewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of OPP Wrocław booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wawrzyniec Wawak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konstanty Panasewicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sándor Torghelle went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, Stefan Zarobski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radomir Rzentkowski. OPP Wrocław's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Zarobski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. After some careless play in the OPP Wrocław defense, Stefan Zarobski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radomir Rzentkowski. The OPP Wrocław fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radomir Rzentkowski should have stopped the shot. The GKS Katowice players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented OPP Wrocław from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
