An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Mitus in the 22nd minute of play forced Wisła Tczew's goalkeeper Leonard Michnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Wisła Tczew getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mieszko Popowicz hit a great ball. Borys Cwojdak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leon Mitus came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the GKS Katowice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Mitus couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Wisła Tczew's Juliusz Augustyniak got a free kick in the 39th minute. Borys Cwojdak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonard Michnik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when Wisła Tczew was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zygmunt Falk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonard Michnik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Borys Cwojdak during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. GKS Katowice's Leon Mitus got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damazy Wojton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Michnik having to interfere.
