The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Zieloni Rokietnica booed when Sacin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerzy Wodaszak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Czeslaw Wyrostek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sacin's supporters rose to their feet, but Czeslaw Wyrostek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mieszko Bobrowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the game, Jaroslaw Sroki lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Mieszko Bobrowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Mierzwa in the 87th minute of play forced Sacin's goalkeeper Herbert Kazimierz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Alfred Mierzwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Kazimierz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franciszek Bierfass might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Kazimierz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franciszek Bierfass ran back to his position shaking his head. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
