Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Wlodzimierz Skoroda made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Mieszko Nakonieczny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ziemowit Petka was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Roman Redisz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ziemowit Petka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Boguslaw Sakowicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STAL MIELEC SA and the LKS START players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Skoroda in the 26th minute of play forced LKS START's goalkeeper Herbert Dankowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mieszko Nakonieczny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Grzegorz Olszewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. STAL MIELEC SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Grzegorz Olszewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Dankowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ziemowit Petka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Redisz went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute Wlodzimierz Skoroda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Dankowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to STAL MIELEC SA getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Sebastian Warka hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute LKS START were awarded a corner. Sylwester Gurgul went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 47th minute, Marcin Robak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mieszko Nakonieczny stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. LKS START were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after STAL MIELEC SA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sylwester Gurgul took the corner. LKS START's Sylwester Gurgul was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ziemowit Petka in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 57th minute of the match Sylwester Gurgul shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ziemowit Petka showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ziemowit Petka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Redisz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ziemowit Petka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Redisz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Kacper Patora sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ziemowit Petka skillfully saved the ball. LKS START's Herbert Dankowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Skoroda in the 65th minute of play. Ziemowit Petka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Redisz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ziemowit Petka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Redisz in the 67th minute of play. If Grzegorz Olszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to LKS START getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Waclaw Zakrzewski hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Milosz Jazwiec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STAL MIELEC SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milosz Jazwiec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Mieszko Nakonieczny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ziemowit Petka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ziemowit Petka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roman Redisz's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. The supporters of LKS START booed when STAL MIELEC SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Juzda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ziemowit Petka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Cwenar in the 87th minute of play. Ziemowit Petka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Redisz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. LKS START's Mieszko Nakonieczny got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Roman Redisz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LKS START fans cheered their team off the field, for while STAL MIELEC SA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
