After a rather tough play, Start Dobrodzień's Witold Sokol got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, FC Szombry's Janusz Tomaka got control of the ball when Teofil Mietus tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofil Giertych in the 10th minute of play forced Start Dobrodzień's goalkeeper Igor Ochabski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes FC Szombry got a freekick which was hit by Jerzy Czciborek. The audience was convinced that Teofil Giertych's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Ochabski was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. A collision led to Start Dobrodzień getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Witold Sokol hit a great ball. Start Dobrodzień's Szymon Filipowski suffered a concussion in the 16th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, FC Szombry's Jerzy Czciborek got a free kick in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Jakub Gabis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Igor Ochabski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teofil Giertych fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Ochabski having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Start Dobrodzień was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dobromir Psotka to maneuver through the defense. Igor Ochabski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofil Giertych in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Start Dobrodzień got a freekick which was hit by Patryk Maziarz. 37 minutes into the game, FC Szombry's Jakub Gabis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Igor Ochabski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teofil Giertych in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Ochabski saved Start Dobrodzień from getting behind. In the 42nd match minute, Start Dobrodzień was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witold Sokol to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, FC Szombry's Tanek Lichorobiec tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Benedykt Bielatowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Ochabski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Gabis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jakub Gabis to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Zbigniew Drzewucki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Start Dobrodzień's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zbigniew Drzewucki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Start Dobrodzień getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Benedykt Bielatowicz hit a great ball. Zbigniew Drzewucki kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofil Giertych in the 62nd minute of play forced Start Dobrodzień's goalkeeper Igor Ochabski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Start Dobrodzień's Igor Ochabski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofil Giertych in the 65th minute of play. Teofil Giertych sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Start Dobrodzień getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Witold Sokol hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Jakub Gabis managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Szombry's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakub Gabis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Ochabski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedykt Bielatowicz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the game, Witold Sokol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Start Dobrodzień's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Szombry the free kick. In the 79th match minute, Start Dobrodzień was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witold Sokol to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes FC Szombry got a freekick which was hit by Jerzy Czciborek. FC Szombry's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
