Smereko's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marjak the free kick. Radomir Brudnicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Dunajski having to interfere. Smereko's Teofil Miecznikowski got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marjak's Antoni Pilitowski got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Smereko's goal looked a bit too open when Radomir Brudnicki came free, but Jerzy Dunajski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Konieczny didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 73 played minutes Smereko got a freekick which was hit by Teofil Miecznikowski. After 74 played minutes, Marjak's Mariusz Glogowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jerzy Dunajski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marjak reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Radomir Brudnicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marjak's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomir Brudnicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerzy Dunajski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 minutes, Tomasz Lewandowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marjak and the Smereko players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Marjak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomasz Lewandowski to maneuver through the defense. Jedrzej Sanocki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Konieczny having to interfere. Marjak's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariusz Glogowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerzy Dunajski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jedrzej Sanocki's late challenge caught a Marjak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jedrzej Sanocki helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Smereko's Jedrzej Sanocki got a free kick in the 91st minute. Mariusz Glogowski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerzy Dunajski. Smereko's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 93 minutes, Radomir Brudnicki made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Smereko's Jerzy Dunajski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
