Stefan Poniewaz charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Poniewaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Legion Bażantów booed when Katowice United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Poniewaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Katowice United's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaw Bucyki came free, but Mikolaj Sawicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Jerzy Smolarek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mikolaj Sawicki. Katowice United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerzy Smolarek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Katowice United booed when Legion Bażantów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Pstrongowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincent Dudek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Mikolaj Sawicki made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Katowice United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Sawicki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wincent Dudek. In the 24th match minute, Katowice United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patryk Tarka to maneuver through the defense. Mikolaj Sawicki came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Legion Bażantów's Wincent Dudek. But to his dismay, Wincent Dudek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Katowice United booed when Legion Bażantów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaw Bucyki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Legion Bażantów's Gustaw Bucyki ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mikolaj Sawicki. Mikolaj Sawicki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Gustaw Bucyki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mikolaj Sawicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaw Bucyki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Sawicki having to interfere. Mikolaj Sawicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaw Bucyki, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pankracy Olender to make the kick off. Daniel Cwenar kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Katowice United's goal looked a bit too open when Wincent Dudek came free, but Mikolaj Sawicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Legion Bażantów getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Napoleon Pstrongowski hit a great ball. Karol Czajkowski hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jerzy Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 74 minutes of play, Legion Bażantów's Roland Czerner made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mikolaj Sawicki was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Wincent Dudek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerzy Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Sawicki having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Wydrych made a precise shot to the right of Mikolaj Sawicki. Katowice United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 85 minutes, Jerzy Smolarek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legion Bażantów and the Katowice United players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Jerzy Smolarek came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Legion Bażantów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerzy Smolarek couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Legion Bażantów fully deserved thier win.
