After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Igor Walczak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Zachariasz Haskiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edward Orlicki scored 2-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Walczak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute, Radomir Franzik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Orlicki got free with Igor Walczak in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Walczak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Orlicki in the 77th minute. Piotr Bochynski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofil Okropny having to interfere. !. The referee showed Mariusz Dankowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
