Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) After having played for 6 minutes, Zbyszko Chrobak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lechia Gdańsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zbyszko Chrobak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Feliks Wielkopolski was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Tanek Slazak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tanek Slazak really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Lechia Gdańsk's Teofil Hodas got a free kick in the 12th minute. Feliks Wielkopolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Chrobak, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Feliks Wielkopolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwan Mikulski in the 16th minute of the match. Lechia Gdańsk's Iwan Mikulski got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Radowit Ramzinski kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Janusz Rydz charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Janusz Rydz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lechia Gdańsk getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Janusz Rydz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lechia Gdańsk's zone, Radowit Gdaniec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jurand Bycofski came out of the goal and Radowit Gdaniec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliks Wielkopolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanek Slazak in the 36th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Iwan Mikulski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Feliks Wielkopolski. Iwan Mikulski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Tanek Slazak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliks Wielkopolski having to interfere. Lechia Gdańsk made a substitution. Iwan Magdziarz replaced Szymon Kociniewski.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radowit Gdaniec to make the kick off. Janusz Rydz got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Janusz Rydz kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Lechia Gdańsk's Tanek Slazak got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lechia Gdańsk's Dariusz Cupial was substituted for Jakub Liermann. 75 minutes into the game, Lechia Gdańsk's Teofil Hodas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Feliks Wielkopolski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Feliks Wielkopolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Mikulski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tanek Slazak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Feliks Wielkopolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofil Hodas was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 96 played minutes Lechia Gdańsk got a freekick which was hit by Teofil Hodas. Lechia Gdańsk's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
