The referee ignored Dynamo Kielce's protests and gave Urban Melin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marathon Kraków booed when Dynamo Kielce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urban Melin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marathon Kraków's Edmund Szkarpiak got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maciej Smuskiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Deissler, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Sebastian Deissler made a precise shot to the right of Maciej Smuskiewicz. Marathon Kraków's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Maciej Smuskiewicz came out of the goal and Sebastian Deissler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radowit Werra kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Boleslaw Oleszak kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Marathon Kraków's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Deissler came free, but Maciej Smuskiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Dynamo Kielce could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Marathon Kraków throughout the match.
