Milan Pogoń's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ebi Smolarek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Korneliusz Miarka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Ebi Smolarek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milan Pogoń's supporters rose to their feet, but Ebi Smolarek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pawel Drapinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pawel Drapinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szczepan Zgonina, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Tęcza Wielowieś's Florian Cieslak got a free kick in the 17th minute. Szczepan Zgonina had several of the Tęcza Wielowieś's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pawel Drapinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ebi Smolarek in the 55th minute of play. Remigiusz Jaworski's late challenge caught a Milan Pogoń's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigiusz Jaworski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Remigiusz Jaworski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
