Walery Glaza came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by AC KaM Kutno's Willy Gunckel. But to his dismay, Willy Gunckel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Fujara in the 27th minute of play forced Ciumicze SA's goalkeeper Walery Glaza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ciumicze SA defense, Wojciech Juzda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walery Glaza. The Ciumicze SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walery Glaza should have stopped the shot. Ryszard Chludzinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezary Golob in the 32nd minute of play. Ciumicze SA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stefan Walczyk in the 33rd minute. Walery Glaza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacek Fujara, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the game, AC KaM Kutno's Jacek Fujara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willy Gunckel to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marek Dabrowski got free with Walery Glaza in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
