Thomas Vollmars short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Krzysztof Lipinski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thomas Vollmar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Krzysztof Lipinski having to make a save. Krzysztof Lipinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 16th minute. Żubry's Krzysztof Lipinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Żubry from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute of the match Newcastle United got a corner. Żubry's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo Zonta ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 21st minute, Pankracy Malicki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newcastle United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Thomas Vollmar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krzysztof Lipinski having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Pstrongowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newcastle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Żubry the free kick. Newcastle United:s Mikolaj Jerzyk showed great skill when he stopped Volodya Robov:s penalty. Krzysztof Lipinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Pacholewski in the 30th minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Thomas Vollmar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Żubry's Krzysztof Lipinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Krzysztof Lipinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Vollmar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Krzysztof Lipinski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marian Erland.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wojciech Osowski to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Żubry got a freekick which was hit by Wojciech Osowski. Thomas Vollmar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Krzysztof Lipinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. If Pankracy Malicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Żubry's Artur Kosakowski got a free kick in the 57th minute. Pankracy Malicki might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krzysztof Lipinski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pankracy Malicki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute Thomas Vollmar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Lipinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Thomas Vollmar sped through Żubry's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Krzysztof Lipinski. In the 66thth minute of the game Adam Pacholewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Żubry's Krzysztof Lipinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pankracy Malicki in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Krzysztof Lipinski saved Żubry from getting behind. Krzysztof Lipinski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Vollmar's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Thomas Vollmar put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Krzysztof Lipinski. In the 79thth minute of the game Adam Pacholewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Żubry's Krzysztof Lipinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Newcastle United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Paulo Zonta in the 80th minute. After 86 minutes, Thomas Vollmar made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Żubry's Krzysztof Lipinski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Żubry's zone, Pankracy Malicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krzysztof Lipinski came out of the goal and Pankracy Malicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Newcastle United fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 92nd minute of play forced Żubry's goalkeeper Krzysztof Lipinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Newcastle United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
