The audience was convinced that Bartosz Olejniczak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edward Mierzwa was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Edward Mierzwa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugeniusz Golota in the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilbert Moizuk got free with Bogdan Spychalski in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eugeniusz Golota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Mierzwa having to interfere. Bogdan Spychalski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Moizuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Bogdan Spychalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Moizuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Gilbert Moizuk made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Spychalski. Saturn Świętochłowice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Moizuk in the 96th minute of play forced Saturn Świętochłowice's goalkeeper Bogdan Spychalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
