The supporters of FC WILXEN booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miromir Dunajski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Miromir Dunajski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Guipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC WILXEN getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Igor Lato hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Wincent Kornasiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Wincent Kornasiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Guipuzkoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hieronim Basinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Bendyk in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, FC WILXEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szymon Iwaszko to maneuver through the defense. Wincent Kornasiewicz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Grzegorz Smolarek took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hieronim Basinski. Hieronim Basinski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Manchester United's Hieronim Basinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piotr Rakowicz in the 45th minute of play. The Manchester United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC WILXEN were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Piotr Rakowicz to make the kick off. With a little luck, Manchester United's Hieronim Basinski got control of the ball when Norbert Kazanowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Wincent Kornasiewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC WILXEN the free kick. After 65 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Wincent Kornasiewicz. Prospero Guipuzkoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Falkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Miromir Dunajski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Miromir Dunajski struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Prospero Guipuzkoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
