It was a penalty for Lechia Gdańsk! Lechia Gdańsk:s Lucjan Lanczak showed great skill when he stopped Beniamin Zaremba:s penalty. In the 46th minute, Miroslaw Klose made a precise shot to the right of Egon Barabás. GKS 1989 Leśna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

GKS 1989 Leśna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lechia Gdańsk the free kick. The supporters of Lechia Gdańsk booed when GKS 1989 Leśna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kryspin Cizeski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, GKS 1989 Leśna's goal looked a bit too open when Milosz Czerwiec came free, but Egon Barabás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lechia Gdańsk's Lucjan Lanczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Olejasz in the 73rd minute of play. When Lechia Gdańsk's Miroslaw Klose in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Milosz Czerwiec took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egon Barabás. Egon Barabás dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Lucjan Lanczak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michal Augustyniak in the 90th minute. Egon Barabás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Czerwiec, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 96th minute Cyprian Olejasz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Lanczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lechia Gdańsk's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
