The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrzej Danisiewicz got free with Jacek Prus in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Witomir Niezywy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zachariasz Winnicki's late challenge caught a FC ŁÓDŹ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zachariasz Winnicki helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes KS Lech Skarpit got a freekick which was hit by Zachariasz Winnicki. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Witomir Niezywy managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ŁÓDŹ's supporters rose to their feet, but Witomir Niezywy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Basaik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, FC ŁÓDŹ's Jacek Prus got control of the ball when Damian Markowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zachariasz Winnicki was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 16th minute, Andrzej Danisiewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KS Lech Skarpit fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Damian Markowski kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Zdzislaw Kilarski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC ŁÓDŹ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KS Lech Skarpit the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Julian Pysz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ŁÓDŹ's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Pysz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Basaik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, FC ŁÓDŹ's goalkeeper Jacek Prus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Danisiewicz. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pankracy Prusinowski was the one to do the kick off. Andrzej Danisiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of KS Lech Skarpit booed when FC ŁÓDŹ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szymon Bycofski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Pysz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marian Basaik. That made the score 1-1 in the 63 minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC ŁÓDŹ's Konstanty Raszek got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 70th match minute, FC ŁÓDŹ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radowit Gleba to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Wlodzimierz Puchlik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacek Prus skillfully saved the ball. After 72 played minutes FC ŁÓDŹ got a freekick which was hit by Harry Styles. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Pankracy Prusinowski took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Marian Basaik to make any attempt to save it. After 81 minutes, Witomir Niezywy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ŁÓDŹ and the KS Lech Skarpit players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC ŁÓDŹ's Witomir Niezywy got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Pankracy Prusinowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Marian Basaik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrzej Danisiewicz struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jacek Prus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KS Lech Skarpit. Jacek Prus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Markowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
