Fabian Ludzia started the match with the kick off. STAL SANOK's Costică Iuzbașa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Trela in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th match minute, LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wlodzimierz Huchro to maneuver through the defense. After 7 minutes LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dominik Bielejewski who took care of the corner kick. STAL SANOK's Dominik Bielejewski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Norbert Gniewek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 10 minutes into the match, STAL SANOK's goalkeeper Costică Iuzbașa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zbyszko Dulka. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olaf Walkowski got free with Costică Iuzbașa in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Lucjan Klawki fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STAL SANOK's protests and gave Lucjan Klawki a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, STAL SANOK's Lucjan Klawki got a free kick in the 13th minute. STAL SANOK's Costică Iuzbașa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save STAL SANOK from getting a goal against them. When Borys Dziatkowicz fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STAL SANOK's protests and gave Borys Dziatkowicz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to STAL SANOK getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Borys Dziatkowicz hit a great ball. Antoni Tusk made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gilbert Sroka. Costică Iuzbașa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zenon Glozor showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Zbyszko Dulka charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zbyszko Dulka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA's Zbyszko Dulka got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Norbert Gniewek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Ludzia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of STAL SANOK booed when LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Huchro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Ludzia in the 29th minute of play forced LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA's goalkeeper Norbert Gniewek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costică Iuzbașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Trela in the 33rd minute of play. Fabian Lato took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norbert Gniewek. Norbert Gniewek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Bogdan Makarewicz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Bogdan Makarewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costică Iuzbașa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zbyszko Dulka. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zbyszko Dulka to strike the kick off in the second half. Arkadiusz Marosz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. STAL SANOK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 54 played minutes LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Walkowski. Fabian Ludzia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Norbert Gniewek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Fabian Ludzia could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Norbert Gniewek however easily saved by the left post. In the 62nd minute Zbyszko Dulka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Iuzbașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes STAL SANOK got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Lato. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dominik Bielejewski was slow to take the kick. During this time STAL SANOK's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arkadiusz Marosz in the 82nd minute of play forced LKS.SIEKIERA PIŁA's goalkeeper Norbert Gniewek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, one of STAL SANOK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for STAL SANOK. Costică Iuzbașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Trela, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Costică Iuzbașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Trela in the 92nd minute of play. In the 97th minute, Zbyszko Dulka made a precise shot to the right of Costică Iuzbașa. STAL SANOK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The STAL SANOK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing STAL SANOK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
