Seating: 1796, VIP seats: 155) Boruc Gierlach started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Antoni Walaszkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boruc Gierlach, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Leszek Cichocki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofil Rzegotka in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofil Rzegotka in the 15th minute of play forced Barcelona's goalkeeper Leszek Cichocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leszek Dombrowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Walaszkiewicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leszek Dombrowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Barcelona's Leszek Cichocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofil Rzegotka in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iwo Jaroch to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Abe Habenicht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Cichocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Śląsk Katowice's Abe Habenicht got a free kick in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boruc Gierlach in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antoni Walaszkiewicz saved Śląsk Katowice from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Barcelona's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abe Habenicht fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 78th minute, Jan Awizo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the game, Marco Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Śląsk Katowice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelona the free kick. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barcelona's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marco Amaral was slow to take the kick. During this time Śląsk Katowice's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Marco Amaral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leszek Cichocki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Teobald Wiatrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leszek Cichocki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adelino Salgado in the 93rd minute.
