KKS STUDZIENICZNE's Piotr Kosmatka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbigniew Barowicz in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Zaglebie Sosnowiec defense, Krzysztof Kensicki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ryszard Kochanowicz. The Zaglebie Sosnowiec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ryszard Kochanowicz should have stopped the shot. Ryszard Kochanowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Hird in the 23rd minute of the match. KKS STUDZIENICZNE's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Beniamin Milko scored to the left of an out of position Piotr Kosmatka, making the score, 1-2. Ryszard Kochanowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tytus Danisiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd match minute, Zaglebie Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Kissel to maneuver through the defense. When Leszek Andrysiak fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KKS STUDZIENICZNE's protests and gave Leszek Andrysiak a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zaglebie Sosnowiec booed when KKS STUDZIENICZNE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leszek Andrysiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zbigniew Barowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Piotr Kosmatka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryszard Kochanowicz came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by KKS STUDZIENICZNE's Krzysztof Kensicki. But to his dismay, Krzysztof Kensicki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Krzysztof Kensicki was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, KKS STUDZIENICZNE's goal looked a bit too open when Beniamin Milko came free, but Piotr Kosmatka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beniamin Milko during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as KKS STUDZIENICZNE's Krzysztof Kensicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ryszard Kochanowicz. That made the score 1-5 after 76 minutes of play.
