No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

If Boruc Gierlach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Ziemowit Olejniczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ziemowit Olejniczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Boruc Gierlach made a precise shot to the right of Ryszard Kochanowicz. Zaglebie Sosnowiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 68 minutes into the game, Hieronim Rekawiczka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zaglebie Sosnowiec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelona the free kick.
