If Santos Dumont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, The Fighting Mongooses FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Lampa came free, but Leszek Matuch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Santos Dumont ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leszek Matuch was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Leszek Matuch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliusz Frankowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marian Dropinski was the one to do the kick off. Leszek Matuch came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by MKS Bełchatów's Santos Dumont. But to his dismay, Santos Dumont quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. When Sylwester Lampa came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the MKS Bełchatów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylwester Lampa couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Dropinski got free with Leszek Matuch in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of The Fighting Mongooses FC booed when MKS Bełchatów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylwester Lampa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Marchewka in the 65th minute of play forced MKS Bełchatów's goalkeeper Radomil Weyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leszek Matuch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Dumont in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, The Fighting Mongooses FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Lampa came free, but Leszek Matuch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Sylwester Lampa made a precise shot to the right of Leszek Matuch. The Fighting Mongooses FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Leszek Matuch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylwester Lampa in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, The Fighting Mongooses FC's Leszek Matuch got control of the ball when Sylwester Lampa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leszek Matuch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. Marian Dropinski came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leszek Matuch could save by the left post. Leszek Matuch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santos Dumont in the 93rd minute. The audience was convinced that Santos Dumont's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leszek Matuch was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Leszek Matuch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Dumont in the 96th minute of the match.
