Korneliusz Smolarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Czerwinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, ADEGA POZNAŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Tomasz Franzik came free, but Korneliusz Smolarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Korneliusz Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Czerwinski in the 7th minute of the match. Korneliusz Smolarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Franzik in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Tomasz Franzik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Maslak fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mieszko Dynda took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Korneliusz Smolarek. Korneliusz Smolarek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 36th minute Tomasz Franzik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes of play, FC Maslak's Mieszko Dynda made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Korneliusz Smolarek was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to ADEGA POZNAŃ getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Napoleon Zagrodny hit a great ball. When Edgar Sobania came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the FC Maslak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Sobania couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zdzislaw Ramzinski to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Maslak's Mieszko Dynda suffered a sore thigh after 51 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jaroslaw Cetnar charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaroslaw Cetnar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jaroslaw Cetnar kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Maslak booed when ADEGA POZNAŃ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Zagrodny didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Edgar Sobania managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Maslak's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Sobania was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Korneliusz Smolarek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Zdzislaw Ramzinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. ADEGA POZNAŃ's supporters rose to their feet, but Zdzislaw Ramzinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hieronim Mockiewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mino Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ADEGA POZNAŃ made a substitution. Borys Malewicki replaced Bogumil Gotfryd. ADEGA POZNAŃ's Mieszko Glogowski was substituted for Jaroslaw Cetnar. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Maslak fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Hieronim Mockiewicz had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Zdzislaw Ramzinski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. ADEGA POZNAŃ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Witalis Czempa scored to the left of an out of position Korneliusz Smolarek, making the score, 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witalis Czempa got free with Korneliusz Smolarek in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Maslak's Hieronim Mockiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olgierd Rozanski in the 85th minute of play. Mieszko Glogowski hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. ADEGA POZNAŃ's Korneliusz Smolarek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save ADEGA POZNAŃ from getting a goal against them. Adam Czerwinski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Korneliusz Smolarek came out and tried to block the shot, but Adam Czerwinski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 93rd minute. Korneliusz Smolarek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lindo Travieso, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Korneliusz Smolarek acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 99th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edgar Sobania. FC Maslak's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
