In the 25th minute, Jedrzej Percha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match Vuyani Thokozani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marian Kajfasz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marian Kajfasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Merski, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the game, Pogoń Szczecin's Szymon Naskrent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adão Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Danilo Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the match, Krzysztof Mochadlo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adão Vaz. G.K.S.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Krzysztof Mochadlo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.

The wind increased when Ryszard Bykowski made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, G.K.S.'s goal looked a bit too open when Szymon Naskrent came free, but Adão Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
