Aureliusz Frankowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrzej Wysocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstanty Kajder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. APPLE KIELCE 1985's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernard Kolacki in the 27th minute. Bernard Kolacki made a great header on APPLE KIELCE 1985's corner, it was just that Niwnice's Andrzej Wysocki managed to reach the ball for a save. With 28 minutes on the clock, Milosz Knopek commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. But to his dismay, Bernard Kolacki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Witomir Borcz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aureliusz Frankowski having to make a save. In the 34th minute Witomir Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliusz Frankowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliusz Frankowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Guedes in the 40th minute of the match. Witomir Borcz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliusz Frankowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Witomir Borcz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niwnice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Witomir Borcz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Witomir Borcz was the one to do the kick off. When Niwnice's Witomir Borcz in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Del Piero in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrzej Wysocki saved Niwnice from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serginho Guedes got free with Aureliusz Frankowski in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aureliusz Frankowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witomir Borcz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
