Edmund Wieczorek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roman Mlekodaj showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 18 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Janusz Lamczyk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmund Wieczorek. That made the score 11-0 in the 44 minute of play. Edmund Wieczorek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogumil Kowalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
