The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Golec got free with Meng Yan Jing in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marian Wolniewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meng Yan Jing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marian Wolniewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. Meng Yan Jing made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Ebi Smolarek sent off a good shot on target. Cristo Uchiha hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After having played for 15 minutes, 陶永振 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KKS Lech Poznań's supporters crossed their fingers, but 陶永振 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Meng Yan Jing managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when KKS Lech Poznań's Marian Wolniewicz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Meng Yan Jing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacy Czekaj in the 19th minute of play. Meng Yan Jing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Wolniewicz's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing got control of the ball when Marian Wolniewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roland Schiavi kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Meng Yan Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacy Czekaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, KKS Lech Poznań's Meng Yan Jing threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignacy Czekaj, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 34 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacy Czekaj came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Wolniewicz in the 40th minute of the match. With his leg Meng Yan Jing managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when KKS Lech Poznań's Ebi Smolarek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ignacy Czekaj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Meng Yan Jing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marian Wolniewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ebi Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacy Czekaj came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoni Adamowicz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. KKS Lech Poznań's Edward Golec got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marian Wolniewicz took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meng Yan Jing. Meng Yan Jing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to Abandon All Hope getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Michal Arendarski hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Ignacy Czekaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meng Yan Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Wolniewicz came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Abandon All Hope's zone, Marian Wolniewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meng Yan Jing came out of the goal and Marian Wolniewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that KKS Lech Poznań were the better team. KKS Lech Poznań's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
