In the 5th minute, Barnaba Lichucki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Barnaba Lichucki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fryderyk Kaczor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Pawelczyk in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Świdnik's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Haşmet Talik was slow to take the kick. During this time GKS Bełchatów's players had a chance to rest. A sloppy throw-in by Wojciech Bejgier in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by GKS Bełchatów's Alfred Pawelczyk. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Pawelczyk in the 18th minute of play forced FC Świdnik's goalkeeper Fryderyk Kaczor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fryderyk Kaczor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Pawelczyk in the 18th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Alfred Pawelczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fryderyk Kaczor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When GKS Bełchatów's Marian Beninda in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Świdnik's goalie prevented a goal. Barnaba Lichucki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fryderyk Kaczor having to make a save. Alfred Pawelczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fryderyk Kaczor having to interfere. Wiktor Jucha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, GKS Bełchatów's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mariusz Buda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelinho Hermes was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Wojciech Bejgier threw the ball into play from the sideline. GKS Bełchatów's Alfred Pawelczyk quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Barnaba Lichucki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to GKS Bełchatów getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eugeniusz Rzeszutko hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Jucha in the 57th minute of play forced GKS Bełchatów's goalkeeper Tom Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Świdnik's zone, Marcelinho Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fryderyk Kaczor came out of the goal and Marcelinho Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfred Pawelczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fryderyk Kaczor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Murillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Buda in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute of the match FC Świdnik got a corner. GKS Bełchatów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariusz Buda ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mariusz Buda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GKS Bełchatów's Tom Murillo did a great save. In the 68th minute, Mariusz Buda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfred Pawelczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes FC Świdnik got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Pankiewicz. Barnaba Lichucki might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fryderyk Kaczor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barnaba Lichucki ran back to his position shaking his head. GKS Bełchatów made a substitution. Lucjan Golaszewski replaced Kazimierz Cichowski. Haşmet Talik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FC Świdnik getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Wojciech Bejgier hit a great ball. When Barnaba Lichucki came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the GKS Bełchatów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barnaba Lichucki couldn't finish the play. Lucjan Golaszewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
